Joe and Nat :)

Photographer’s Notes:
Just before I closed the car door my phone rang, “Joe where are you?” That was Natalie checking to see if I was lost in Greenwich or even left home yet.
Joe and Nat, the lovely couple I used to work with while up in Nottingham, came down to visit last for a long weekend last month. They come down quite often so It was great to be able to steal them away and show them round Greenwich, my end of London. The worst thing is that I had NO phone credit to call back so it was a lot of promises to meet here, there and everywhere :) I could feel the hands of the economic recession gripping me. Arrgg! I mean they were suppose to arrive on the DLR not the Eurostar. Services must be getting quicker on the DLR line. It was so much fun, even got to try some tasty Thai food and act like a tourist at the G.M.T house.

To top it all the sun came out and transformed what was originally a grey sky, bouncing so much vibrant color off the autum leaves. It was too tempting NOT not start snapping away. So I did just that :). Shooting like this is so relaxing because you are not working under pressure. I’ve been finding it more and more important to be shooting for myself lately and have been doing so at least once a week. It not only helps to develop creativity and vision for what you are shooting, but also allows you to work on craft, direction, and style. We walked a great deal but giving it was suppose to be mid-winter, cold and windy so being “british” we worship the slightest bit of sun. :)
